This is the revised edition (2021) of Michael Marsh’s “The Gold Sovereign”. It has been fully revised and updated by Steve Hill of Sovereign Rarities, London. It now includes new (since 2017) and fractional sovereigns. It has quickly become the definitive reference source for the Sovereign series of coins.
From a personal point of view, I love this book, I loved the first edition also. It details every known variety of Sovereign, Half Sovereign and. It covers the history of the mints (UK, Australian, South African, Canadian and Indian). The reference numbers have been quickly adopted by most collectors and dealers in this area. Also included is a price and rarity guide.
