Kenworth Truck Company’s classic W900, featuring a long hood and a distinctive cathedral grille, is an awe-inspiring vehicle. As the US manufacturer of premium trucks like to say, ‘No matter where it goes, it won’t go unnoticed’.

Scania – R500

Scania’s modern line-up of heavy prime movers includes the R500, an exceptionally powerful model boasting a 500hp V8 engine. It’s designed for carrying out the ‘really tough’ jobs, says the Swedish manufacturer, a specialist in heavy transport since 1891.

Freightliner – Cascadia

US maker Freightliner says it ‘threw out the regular playbook on heavy-duty trucks’ to create the graceful, windswept lines of Cascadia. With its low drag coefficient and ultra-quiet luxury cab, it’s a truck that rides more like a prestige car.

Isuzu – Gigamax

Isuzu says its focus on ‘creation without compromise’ is responsible for its rise to prominence as a global supplier of heavy-duty trucks. In Gigamax, aka the E-Series, its trucks epitomise a new generation of efficiency, safety and intelligent Japanese design.

‘P’ Mintmark

The reverse of each coin also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.

Issued as Legal Tender

Each 2010-dated coin, which bears Raphael Maklouf's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse, is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu.
