This beautiful coin is the third release from a sublime new series for lovers of cute and cuddly Australian animals.
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality with a large 36mm diameter. Gloriously illustrated by artist Elise Martinson, the coin portrays the adorable wide-eyed innocence of a dingo pup and representations of Australian native flowers and a butterfly. The reverse also includes The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark. Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin portrays the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2011 year-date on the obverse. No more than 10,000 of these 2011-dated coins will be released by The Perth Mint. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
