OPALPLUS HAS BEEN PURCHASER OF PERTH MINT COINS SINCE EARLY 1980s
IN AUGUST 2007 WE WERE APPROVED AS AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR PERTH MINT AUSTRALIA .
COINSPLUS NOW SPECILAIZES IN COINS
The sovereign is one of the most famous gold coins ever made. During the 19th and early 20th centuries, the Australian mints in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth contributed to its success in no small measure by producing large quantities from locally mined gold. More than 106 million sovereigns were produced in Perth alone.
In 2009, after a 78-year hiatus, The Perth Mint resumed regular production of gold coins bearing the prestigious sovereign title. This year’s Perth Mint Proof Australian Sovereign will again appeal to collectors of remarkable gold coins and those looking for a gift that will be treasured for life.
Proof Quality 22-Carat Gold
The coin is struck by The Perth MInt from traditional 91.67% pure gold (22-carat) in proof quality.
Reverse Design
The Australian Commonwealth Coat of Arms appears on the reverse of the 2011 Perth Mint Proof Sovereign, accompanied by the inscriptions AUSTRALIA and SOVEREIGN in raised lettering. The reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s historic ‘P’ mintmark.
The Coat of Arms appears on a background of golden wattle, Australia’s national floral emblem, and a scroll with the inscription AUSTRALIA.
Issued as Australian Legal Tender
Issued as Australian legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the monetary denomination.
Extremely Limited Mintage
The Perth Mint will release no more than 2,500 of these coins.
Certificate of Authenticity
Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Presentation Packaging
Each coin is housed in a prestigious presentation display case and illustrated shipper.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a person is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on behalf of the bidder, incrementally increasing the bid up to the maximum to maintain their position as the highest bidder.
When there is an icon indicating 'Automatic Bid', it means our system is actively placing bids for the bidder based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if bidders are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the bidders maximum limit.
