Delmatius Caesar (335-337 CE)

Flavius Dalmatius Caesar (often spelled Delmatius on contemporary coins) was a member of the Constantinian Dynasty of the Roman Empire. He was emperor from 335 to 337 CE. His territory spanned North Africa to the East of Europe.

When Dalmatius was killed by his own soldiers, his territory divided between Constans and Constantius. It is suspected that his death was linked to a purge of claimants on the throne by Constantius II.
