OPALPLUS HAS BEEN PURCHASER OF PERTH MINT COINS SINCE EARLY 1980s
IN AUGUST 2007 WE WERE APPROVED AS AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR PERTH MINT AUSTRALIA .
COINSPLUS NOW SPECILAIZES IN COINS
Born in Wales in 1682, Roberts went to sea at the age of 13 and after a poorly-paid career as a seaman he converted to piracy. Famous for his navigational skills Black Bart plundered shipping relentlessly off West Africa, South America, Newfoundland and in the Caribbean, reportedly capturing over 400 ships!
Black Bart made a gallant figure; he wore silk waistcoats, a red feather in his hat, a gold chain with a diamond cross hanging from it, a sword in one hand and two pairs of pistols slung over his shoulders. Unlike other pirates, however, Roberts preferred the taste of tea to rum!
The pirate world was shocked when the ‘invincible’ Black Bart was blasted by grapeshot and killed while engaging an English man-o’-war in 1722. The crew followed his wishes, wrapped his body in sailcloth and cast him overboard.
Pirate Reverse Design
The coin’s reverse depicts Black Bart against the backdrop of a pirate ship and ‘pieces of eight’ coinage. The design includes a representation of Black Bart’s famous diamond crucifix and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark
Tuvalu Legal Tender
Struck by The Perth Mint from aluminium bronze, the coin is issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu. The Raphael Maklouf effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and 2011 year-date appear on the coin’s obverse.
Presentation Card
A great gift for any budding young collector, the coin is housed in an illustrated presentation card. The card can be joined with other cards in the series to create a fantastic pirate scene.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
