OPALPLUS HAS BEEN PURCHASER OF PERTH MINT COINS SINCE EARLY 1980s
IN AUGUST 2007 WE WERE APPROVED AS AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR PERTH MINT AUSTRALIA .
COINSPLUS NOW SPECILAIZES IN COINS
Australian waters host some of the most famous reef systems in the world. From spectacular tropical corals to towering forests of kelp, these dynamic environments are teeming with aquatic life. Celebrating five fascinating reef dwellers, this stunning collector series now includes a release portraying Leafy Sea Dragon.
Proof Quality 99.9% Pure Silver
The coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1/2oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
Leafy Sea Dragon Reverse Design
The coin’s reverse portrays a Leafy Sea Dragon in colour. With leaf-like appendages for camouflage, these beautiful fish display remarkable parenting behaviour. After the female develops her eggs, the male takes responsibility for incubating them under his tail. Between 30 and 40cm in length, Leafy Sea Dragons are endemic to temperate waters around southern Australia.
‘P’ Mintmark
The coin’s reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s historic ‘P’ mintmark.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2009 year-date on the obverse.
Extremely Limited Mintage
No more than 10,000 of these will be released by The Perth Mint.
Numbered Certificate of Authenticity
Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Forthcoming Releases
Joining this and the Lionfish coin (2009), future releases in this series depict a Clownfish (2010), Seahorse (2010) and Moray Eel (2010).
Presentation Packaging
Each coin is housed in a presentation case which comes in a colourfully illustrated box-shipper. When lined-up in release order, the shipper illustrations form a linked image depicting all five reef creatures.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
