The Two Shillings, or Florin, coin was minted form 1849 to 1967

The silver content of the Two Shilling Coin was 92.5% until 1920 then reduced to 50% silver through to 1946; from there they were cupro-nickel. They were demonetised in 1967, although they were used as a substitute Ten pence coin until much later.
