Perth Mint in Western Australia Minted over One Million Try Ounce Gold bullion last year and total sales of A$21.7 billion.
The coin's reverse depicts a Red Kangaroo in a jumping pose set against an Australian bush scene.
Around above, the inscription DISCOVER AUSTRALIA.
Around below, 2012 RED KANGAROO 1/10oz 9999 GOLD (one tenth of an ounce of 99.99% gold).
The P mint mark of the Perth Mint is to the right. The designer's initials TV (for Tom Vaughan) are on the ground to the left of the kangaroo.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965 , the coins depict Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
Uniquely Australian Packaging
Each coin is housed in a superb presentation case with a lid made from Australian jarrah timber. The case comes in a protective outer shipper featuring Discover Australia's distinctive logo.
