Orbiting the liberated planet of Bajor, Deep Space 9 guards the opening of the Bajoran wormhole in the Alpha Quadrant to the far side of the Galaxy. Captain Sisko and his crew must fight off rival alien species that are vying for control over the space station because of its position close to the wormhole, which enables speedy travel to the far reaches of space.

Issued as legal tender under the authority of the Government of Tuvalu, the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the monetary denomination, and the 2015 year-date are shown on the coin’s obverse.
Issue Limit
The Perth Mint will release no more than 5,000 of the 2015 Star Trek: Deep Space Nine – Deep Space 9 1oz Silver Proof Coin in this packaging, from a maximum mintage of 6,500. The remaining 1,500 of the mintage are part of the very limited DS9 two-coin set.
Themed Presentation Packaging and Numbered Certificate
The coin is housed in a Star Trek inspired display case, within a Star Trek themed shipper. Each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
