An interesting curio to add to any coinage collection. "Canoe" or "Boat" money was commonly used all along the Mekong River Valley from Burma (Myanmar) and Laos in the north through Siam (Thailand), Vietnam and Cambodia. It is more typically associated with Thailand and Laos than anywhere else. The was no mint designated for making these and many were cast by locals. There have been many fakes of these, but pieces like this have an unmistakable patina.
Please be aware that the weight in the boxes is in Carats.
I have a few of these that I will be listing over time. If you have some Thai bullet money that you would like to swap (all examples), I would be very interested, please get in touch.
Additional Notes: All coin gradings are my own and I would strongly suggest that you study the images carefully as they are an integral part of this listing.
