2022 Australian kangaroo design

The Australian Kangaroo 2022 1oz gold bullion coin portrays a kangaroo and its joey bounding across a flat, grassy plain with hillocks on the horizon. Including the inscription ‘KANGAROO’, the reverse incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark as well as the coin’s weight, purity and 2022 year-date.

Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, Kangaroo gold bullion coins have been trusted for their weight and purity by investors worldwide for more than three decades.

Presentation and mintage

Presented in a protective acrylic capsule, the coin is subject to an unlimited mintage. Production will close at the end of 2022, after which The Perth Mint will declare the coin's official mintage.
