OPALPLUS HAS BEEN PURCHASER OF PERTH MINT COINS SINCE EARLY 1980s
IN AUGUST 2007 WE WERE APPROVED AS AUTHORIZED DEALER FOR PERTH MINT AUSTRALIA .
COINSPLUS NOW SPECILAIZES IN COINS
This beautiful Celebrate Australia release is one of five 2011 $1 coins portraying stunning Australian landscapes and marine environments inscribed on the World Heritage List.
The Australian Fossil Mammal Sites World Heritage Area was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 1994. It contains two discrete locations, Naracoorte in South Australia and Riversleigh in Queensland.
The Fossil Mammal Site at Naracoorte is located in the limestone coast region in the southeast of South Australia and covers an area of around 300 hectares. The caves of Naracoorte have acted as pitfall traps, collecting animals for at least 500,000 years and preserving the most complete fossil record for this period in Australia.
Riversleigh, in northwest Queensland, covers an area of 10,000 hectares that includes the fossil remains of ancient mammals, birds and reptiles, some of which date back to 25 million years ago.
Reverse Design
The coin’s coloured reverse represents the Australian Fossil Mammal Site of Riversleigh and incorporates a recreation of the Thylacoleo carnifex marsupial lion, one of the many mammal fossils found at Naracoorte.
‘P’ Mintmark
The coin’s reverse also incorporates The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark.
Australian Legal Tender
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin bears the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse.
Eye-Catching Presentation Card
The coin is housed on an eye-catching presentation card, which has a fold-out stand for upright display.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
