But local records show a contingent of over 200 us servicemen were stationed here in 1939
And some bottles cock cola found are dated 1939
This site is now about to be lost to housing subdivision and live grenades have also been found and the area is now closed off to the public
A retired opal miner found these items while using a metal detector and using water to wash top dirt away to find these items
