COINSPLUS NOW SPECILAIZES IN COINS
The Perth Mint is celebrating 100 years of Duntroon, the Royal Military College of Australia responsible for training cadets for service as officers in the Australian Army. Duntroon graduates have led Australian soldiers in every major military campaign in which Australia has been engaged. Recognised as one of the world’s leading military colleges, it proudly upholds a famous tradition of training and developing some of the country’s most accomplished leaders.
This coin is struck by The Perth Mint from 1oz of 99.9% pure silver in proof quality.
The coin is issued as Australian legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965.
The coin’s reverse portrays a series of figures symbolising the roles and challenges undertaken by officer cadets at Duntroon. The design includes a coloured representation of the Royal Military College badge incorporating the motto DOCTRINA VIM PROMOVET (learning promotes strength).
The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also appears on the coin’s reverse.
The coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the 2011 year-date and the monetary denomination.
An authentic RMC Duntroon badge made from copper with gold plating accompanies the coin.
No more than 7,500 of these coin-badge sets will be released.
This spectacular tribute is housed in a prestigious presentation case and magnificently illustrated shipper accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
