1988 saw the release of the first coin in the Isle of Man Manx Cat series. This delightful series which depicts a different cat each year has become one of the most popular gold bullion series in the world and we are delighted to announce the release of the 20th Cat coin in the series which features a beautiful Ragdoll cat with her two very endearing kittens.
The Ragdoll cat has a gentle, loving nature and a muscular build. All Ragdolls are colourpointed, so their face, ears, legs and tail are darker in colour than the rest of their body. However, when born the kittens are completely white or cream and the points begin to develop a few days after birth. When mature, Ragdolls have a thick, silky coat which is semi-longhaired. Ragdolls are famous for their laid back nature, are docile and trusting and crave human company.
