1912 five dollar gold coin from Canada
weighs 8.3592 grams and contains 90% gold,
giving it and AGW (Actual Gold Weight) of 0.2419 troy ounces of gold.
This gold coin was minted by royal Canadian mint in 1912 in which was the same year the Titanic ship sank!
The Government ordered 8,000 of these $5 gold coins and coin was minted till 1914 with Canadian gold from the Klodine region of canada
The inscription “CANADA” was engraved above the shield, and the date 1912 and face value FIVE DOLLARS.
